- 40 saltine crackers (about 1 sleeve)
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- 1/4 cup crushed candy canes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a jelly roll pan with foil.
- Arrange saltines in a single layer.
- Melt butter, add brown sugar, and boil for 3 mins.
- Pour toffee over crackers and spread evenly.
- Bake for 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Sprinkle with chocolate chips, let melt, then spread.
- Add toppings and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Break into pieces and serve.
