Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2¼ teaspoons (1 packet) instant yeast
  • 1½ teaspoons salt
  • 1½ cups warm water (about 110°F)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil, plus more for greasing
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs or chopped rosemary (optional)
  • Flaky sea salt, for topping

Instructions

  1. Mix water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy. Add flour and salt, then knead until smooth.
  2. Let dough rise 1–1.5 hours until doubled.
  3. Heat olive oil with garlic until fragrant.
  4. Stretch dough into a greased 9×13-inch pan, let rise 30–45 minutes.
  5. Dimple dough, brush with garlic oil, top with Parmesan, herbs, and sea salt.
  6. Bake at 425°F for 20–25 minutes until golden.
  7. Cool slightly, then slice and serve.
