- 1 pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 2 Golden Delicious apples, thinly sliced
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 8 slices bacon
- 1/4 cup yellow onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Basil or micro greens, for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Bake bacon with rosemary and pepper for 12-14 mins. Chop and set aside.
- For the sauce, sauté onion and garlic in butter. Add flour and cook 1 min.
- Whisk in broth, milk, and oregano. Cook until thickened. Off heat, stir in mozzarella.
- Roll dough to a 9×13″ rectangle on a greased baking sheet.
- Spread sauce over dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
- Top with apple slices, chopped bacon, and cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 20 mins or until golden brown.
- Garnish with basil or micro greens before serving.
Notes
For best results, shred your own cheese from a block and slice the apples just before assembling the pizza to prevent browning.
