Description

Crispy fried catfish served over smoky cheese grits, topped with a creamy shrimp Parmesan sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 pieces catfish fillets
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup smoked cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup gouda cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup grits
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prep ingredients.
  2. Cook grits, then stir in cheeses.
  3. Coat catfish in cornmeal and fry.
  4. Sauté shrimp with seasonings.
  5. Make sauce with cream and Parmesan.
  6. Assemble and serve.
