Description
Irresistibly crispy fried chicken tenders coated in a creamy, sweet, and spicy Bang Bang sauce. An easy, restaurant-quality dish perfect for dinner or parties.

- 1 cup (232 g) mayonnaise
- ½ cup (132 g) Thai sweet chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon Sriracha, or more to taste
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 ½ pounds boneless skinless chicken tenderloins
- 1 cup (245 g) buttermilk
- ¾ cup (94 g) all-purpose flour
- ½ cup (64 g) cornstarch
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional
- 2 cups (216 g) panko breadcrumbs, plain
- canola oil, for frying
- parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Whisk sauce ingredients together; set aside.
- In a separate bowl, whisk buttermilk, flour, cornstarch, egg, 1 tbsp Sriracha, and seasonings into a batter.
- Add chicken to batter, toss to coat.
- Dredge each piece in panko, pressing to adhere.
- Heat 1 inch of oil in a skillet to 365°F.
- Fry chicken in batches for 2-3 mins per side until golden and 165°F internally.
- Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Toss hot chicken with reserved sauce. Garnish with parsley and serve.
Notes
For a lighter version, chicken can be baked at 400°F for 15-20 mins or air-fried at 375°F for 10-12 mins.
