A festive and flavorful cheese ball shaped like a wreath, combining zesty taco flavors with fresh herbs and a vibrant tomato topping. The perfect holiday appetizer!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro, stems removed
  • 4 green onions, roughly chopped
  • 1 (4 oz) can diced green chile peppers
  • 1 medium Roma tomato, cored and diced
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped white onion
  • 1 medium jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Line a 16-oz bowl with plastic wrap, leaving overhang.
  2. In a food processor, blend cream cheese, Monterey Jack, and taco seasoning. Pulse in half the cilantro, green onions, and green chiles.
  3. Transfer mixture to the prepared bowl, press down, and smooth the top. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  4. Invert the chilled cheese ball onto a serving platter and remove the plastic wrap.
  5. Use a shot glass to create a hole in the center, forming a wreath.
  6. Sprinkle the top with the remaining chopped cilantro.
  7. Combine diced tomato, white onion, and jalapeno. Arrange this mixture around the wreath as decoration.

Notes

Chilling time is essential for the cheese ball to hold its shape. For best results, make it the day before your event.
